I installed them with the motor in, which I wouldn't recommend. If you have it out, it wouldn't hurt to install them. I picked mine up brand new for $300 from a local guy, and imo it's worth that much. I wouldn't pay $600, but the difference it made was a not-overly-noticeable power increase, better sounding exhaust (the rest was stock), and slightly better gas mileage (1-2 mpg on the highway). I'd have rather added to suspension, but at the same time I'd never buy another NA with t-tops.
